Meaning
The moment is not ripe. Confident waiting—nourishing yourself meanwhile—brings success when the rain finally falls.
This is waiting as the farmer waits for rain — with the field already ploughed. The hexagram distinguishes confident waiting from anxious stalling: one nourishes strength for the moment of action, the other quietly spends it.
