Meaning
After darkest decline, light returns at the solstice. The turning point arrives naturally—nurture the tender new beginning gently.
One yang line reborn at the bottom of the hexagram: the winter solstice moment when, invisibly, the light begins to win. The instruction of the season is protective — the ancients closed the passes at solstice, because a beginning this young is killed by traffic, not by enemies.
